ABOUT US

Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Community Development Corporation, Inc.

We are a non-profit housing organization located in Monroe, Louisiana, founded by Johnny Preston Stephens and Co Founders, Kenneth G Jackson and Welton M Wiley Mt. Pleasant Community Development Corporation, Inc. has been providing affordable housing solutions to the community since 1997, catering to the needs of low to moderate-income individuals, providing rental counseling, HUD-certified housing counseling, credit counseling, budgeting services, mortgage delinquency/foreclosure prevention services, food-pantry, VITA services, and first-time homeowners workshops.

We also offer resident support services and partner with property management companies to provide information to tenants on various topics such as cleaning, computer skills, spending habits, and credit repair.

OUR TEAM

Our team is composed of passionate individuals who work tirelessly to impact the community positively. We are led by our President/CEO, Welton M Wiley, who brings years of experience in the non-profit housing sector. Assisting him our President Emeritus Clarence Smith brings a wealth of knowledge in community outreach and advocacy. Our Board Chairperson, Eddie Beaver, oversees the strategic direction of our organization and provides invaluable guidance and support to our team. Together, we work towards our mission of empowering individuals and building stronger communities through comprehensive housing support.
